Basic Fire Investigation - Hybrid Online / Face-to-Face

Description
This blended program of instruction will include online, in-person classroom, and hands-on sessions. The program is designed to teach the basic skills required to conduct an initial fire scene investigation. Participants will learn about fire behavior, basic origin & cause, scene preservation, documentation, and legal aspects in accordance with NFPA 921 / 1033. The program is designed for fire and law enforcement personnel. This class will not certify you as a fire investigator, however, will satisfy the requirements toward certifications through the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI) and the National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI).

Special Requirements
Protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, gloves and a helmet are required. A digital camera and laptop computer are recommended.
