For the fire officer at, or preparing for promotion to, the managerial/administrative level.

This interactive scenario driven training will require participation by all students. The goal of the program is to help students prepare for advancement to the battalion and deputy chief officer ranks. You will have an opportunity to handle real world examples presented by instructors who have managed the selected scenarios during their careers. The scenarios are chosen to meet the Job Performance Requirements outlined in NFPA 1021.

Special Requirements
Candidates must have completed Fire Officer 1 and 2, hold a valid certificate to practice as a firefighter issued under section 4765.55 of the Ohio Revised Code (ORC) or equivalent.

Required Textbook
You must purchase and bring Chief Officer: Principles and Practices from IAFC and NFPA, 2nd Edition, published by Jones and Bartlett (ISBN: 978-1-284-03842-2)
