Description
Upon completion of the class, students will understand the basic components of a Fire Incident Report, identify required content and receive clarification on confusing sections such as exposures, aid given, Incident Types and Casualty Reports.  Students will gain information on how to code any incident and utilize the USFA NFIRS Complete Reference Guide

To achieve uniformity in reporting, the U.S. Fire Administration (USFA) developed the National Fire Incident Reporting System (NFIRS).  This system is based primarily on the work of the National Fire Information Council (NFIC) and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Technical Committee on Fire Reporting.
