You know these surnames: Bamberger, Follett, Garner, Kilbourne. When people move to a new country, they bring their foods, language (oral and written), religion, arts, trade, and business expertise. Why did they come? Since the 1840s, these groups were in Sandusky planting the seeds that grew and shaped the city. We will highlight each of the two earliest groups that laid the foundation for the city and region.
