ID : 4499
« back to classes page
Intuitively, we know that there are negative consequences to vast inequality in a society, but our focus is often on the consequences for individuals, families, and communities at the bottom of a society’s wealth and income hierarchy. What if the negative consequences affect the entire society, not just those at the bottom? Ms. Didelot will discuss a collection of findings from two British epidemiologists’ cross-national analyses that suggest many social phenomena we deem to be “social problems” are linked to levels of inequality in a nation.
