This is a tested course that will cover: fire behavior, building construction, fire scene documentation, fire cause determination, basic interviewing, legal aspects of fire investigation, evidence collection and report preparation. This is a hands-on investigation class.
Enrollment is limited to personnel appointed as law enforcement or fire department investigators, insurance company investigators/adjustors. Protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, gloves and a helmet are required. A digital camera and laptop computer are recommended.
