The Street Smart Engine and Truck Operations course is an intensive 3-day, hands-on program that uses both training props and acquired structures to sharpen your fireground skills. Students rotate through multiple realistic skill stations designed to build the knowledge, confidence, and ability needed to operate safely and effectively in a variety of fireground roles.

Whether you’re looking to refine your truck company abilities or brush up on stretching and flowing lines, this course delivers. The proven methods taught throughout will enhance your performance in essential truck functions as well as in multiple engine company positions. You’ll get the best of both worlds...practical instruction paired with real-world tactics, tips, and experience.

The Truck Operations component covers ground ladders, forcible entry, ventilation, search, overhaul, and the use of both hand and power tools. The Engine Operations portion focuses on stretching, flowing, and advancing 1.75” and 2.5” handlines, hose loads, nozzle selection, and estimating stretches.

Our instructors are experienced, motivated, and come from a range of urban and suburban departments bringing diverse, street-smart perspectives to help elevate your performance on the fireground.
