Prioritize the Search

This course offers a realistic fire environment to promote awareness and decrease civilian fatalities while maintaining an aggressive mindset. We examine search statistics, forcible entry / search techniques, and victim retrieval / extraction. We will spend the first half of the class building foundational knowledge and maximizing repetition for students. The second half of the class will be real world scenarios that will challenge students.

Students will perform forcible entry, the 10% search, and primary searches in zero visibility conditions. Students will encounter different size victims, different floor surfaces and techniques that will make them successful in each scenario.
