Basic Fire Investigation

This hands on program will teach the basic skills required to conduct an initial fire scene investigation.  Participants will learn about fire behavior, basic origin & cause, scene preservation, documentation and legal aspects in accordance with NFPA 921 / 1033.  This course is designed for fire and law enforcement personnel. 

Special Requirements
Three online modules from (FREE)

  • Ethics and the fire investigator
  • The Practical Application of the Relationship Between NFPA 921 / 1033
  • NFPA 1033 and Your Career.

Protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, gloves and a helmet are required. A digital camera and laptop computer are recommended.
